STEP 1: THE PREP
Give us a bit of information about your project to get us started. Fill out our design questionnaire, submit pictures of your room as it is today (don’t worry, we don’t judge), and send us some inspiration pictures of how you’d like the room to look. Then, follow our simple instructions for pre-design day prep to make sure we can be as efficient as possible when we get to your home!
STEP 2: DESIGN DAY!
We’ll arrive at your home bright and early (well, 9AM) with coffee and treats in hand to begin the redesign process (this can also be done virtually, if that is your preference or you live outside of the Greater Boston area)! This will include:
Discussing your goals and vision for the space.
Drafting a floor plan and determining the ideal layout for the room, including specs for major items.
Determining what can stay, what should go, and what items we’ll be looking for
Determining the style and color palette for the room, including paint color recommendations (if applicable).
Beginning to source furnishings and draft the mood boards that will make up your final design.
Within 48 hours of our visit, we will deliver a draft of your design plan to you via email, including mood board and/or design boards. Once any revisions are complete, we’ll provide you with your final design boards, clickable shopping lists including sourcing suggestions, vendor recommendations (if needed) and detailed installation instructions.
STEP 3: SHOP AROUND
Using our design as your guide, go see for yourself the items we’ve outlined in your design plan (we always source things like sofas and armchairs from stores with retail locations). Gather samples, sit on furniture, and see furnishings in real life. With our game plan in hand, you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for and have the parameters necessary to choose alternatives, if needed.
STEP 4: FOLLOW-UP
We’ll come back to your home to review your shopping selections (in the event that you’ve selected fabrics or made substitutions) and help you finalize your purchases. This is important to ensure your fabrics, colors, textures, and materials all still play well with each other after your shopping adventures and BEFORE you commit to them! Follow-up meetings are billed at $200 per hour and, typically, don’t take longer than that.
STEP 5: PURCHASING + INSTALLATION
Purchase and install the items to complete your home in your own time - either all at once or (more typically) piece-by-piece based on our recommendations. We’ve created the custom blueprint, all you need to do is follow it. Congratulations - you now have a professionally designed room at a fraction of the cost of traditional interior design!
INVESTMENT
Our by-the-room interior re-design services are charged by the size of the room.
Your designs are in your hand within 48 hours of our in-home visit.
UP TO 150 SQ FT ROOM $500
150 - 300 SQ FT ROOM $900
OVER 300 SQ FT ROOM $1200
Open-concept rooms are charged by their zones (ex: a 600 sq ft open concept kitchen/living room would be charged as two smaller rooms, based on the square footage of each zone).
Follow-up visits, revisions, and additional shopping services are charged at $200/hour.
As a guideline, clients should expect to budget a minimum of $2500/room for furnishings. Appropriate budgets will be discussed based room size and your goals for the space.
